In a recent turn of events,
169 Bar has decided to raise their beer and shot deal from $5 to $6, crippling any further hope in the future of humanity. No longer can you depend on a simple and straightforward $5 price tag that is so often revered by the poor and infamous in neighborhoods all over the city. Oh well, either way, we'll probably be there next weekend anyways.

The
Mike Carroll 'Modus' part is still one of the best parts that ever came out, hence, the repost of it 15 words back.
The SLAP one in a million contest is
maintaining the soft vibe that it started off with. I actually sat and watched more footage of Matt Millitano, the first dude to get eliminated, and am kind of into that dudes skating. It's a shame that he's out of the contest but judging by the amount of footage he accumulated for all the clips Colin Reade put out, he definitely didn't fly home after two days in the city. Also, I now can kind of see why people like Lurker Lou. Honesty is always a good thing and
brutal honesty is always entertaining. As the equation goes: SLAP = online magazine, online = infinite mainstream for the sake of business, magazine = information and
entertainment, skateboard contest =
judged by people. Therefore, Lurker Lou = brutally honest judge + entertaining + generates racks for SLAP. Just got to take it for what it is.
